It is so easy to feel like the world is a place of constant battles. We all have something that is so amazing and unique about ourselves that the enemy desires to steal and cause us to feel defeated. We seem to be void of peace in such crucial moments of our lives that our ability to push through feels as if it’s getting more and more difficult. That says to me that we are not totally allowing the Holy Spirit to have His full authority in our lives. So, let’s all try a little exercise. The next time we feel anxious as the Word of God has warned us against, let’s replace the IDEA of a storm with the peace of God. If we are honest, some of our storms are not real and we create them out of fear they are going to happen. Does anyone else feel this way? I did this for years and mostly from past experiences. I now must remember that the weather is not as stormy as I “make it out to be.” Therefore, I analyze the circumstances and remember Jesus has already stilled the storms and the waves are silent. Allow Him to do the same things during your stormy weather.
He stilled the storm to a whisper; the waves of the sea were hushed. Psalm 107:29
