Stand Firmly Planted

My earthly father was a farmer. In fact, the day he became ill, he was in his garden farming. Over the life of our farming together, I watched the plants be placed in the ground and watered faithfully until they took root. We would be out in the hot sun daily if there was no rain watering plants to keep them from dying. What I learned from this experience and hanging out in the gardens with my dad was unless the root is watered and solid, the plant will shrivel up and die. The water was necessary to help it take root until it could be strong enough to survive the elements on its’ own. Our lives need to be firmly rooted as well and we need to always be connected to the waters of the Word. Unless we have been thoroughly watered, we will lose hope and we will also shrivel up and die without ever being truly planted. We will not be able to bring forth fruit and have a prosperous life until we are firmly planted in Him!

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. Psalm 1:3 KJV
