Sometimes you think, if I could just get this right, I will take a break. If I had this, then I would “be alright.” We find ourselves wanting to make everything right for ourselves and others, mainly so they won’t be upset with us and like us. Sometimes our assisting others causes us to reach a point of exhaustion, which often causes illness and depression because we want to be perfect at all things. Stop the madness in your life today. Examine the things you are doing and if they are not in the purpose and plan of God, then let them go. Bow out gracefully. Reclaim your joy and freedom from the busyness of wanting to appear perfect so others will like you and not be mad at you. Other people's feelings don't have to be your agenda and you will never be perfect. The only perfection we have is in the plan of God and walking in His will. Just be okay with not being perfect because we will never be within our own efforts. The bible teaches us that there is none perfect but the Father. Trying to fit into other people feelings and happiness will not make you perfect in their eyes. It’s a trap to keep you from walking in purpose and reaching your destiny.
Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.” Matthew 19:21
