The Power of Being Present

Sometimes we take others for granted. We often work too hard and try and do too much in the name of success as the world describes success. We lose families, spouses, children in the name of success. The focus must be on today. We must spend time in the here and now. We must cultivate relationships that are important to us, and we must seek to enjoy life without the fear of losing it all. We have no idea if our loved ones will be here tomorrow or what tomorrow will bring. Life can be short, unkind, fearful, and filled with the possibility of wasting it all. In our fear of wasting it all or having nothing left we sometimes find ourselves doing just that! Losing everything because we missed the opportunity to just be present. Please be present with your family and friends. Take the time to enjoy being in their presence. Enjoy life. Please pass this post on or share with someone who needs it so others can ponder on the power of just being present with those who are most important to them. Life is too short not to be with those we love.

Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. James 14:4 ESV
