The Courage to Win

As we approach various seasons of sports, and our favorite teams or Olympians are gearing up for a winning season we feel excited. I am not a sports fan of many sports, but I love bowling and baseball. I grew watching the Atlanta Braves and hearing my dad and his family and friends root for the Braves all season long on warm summer nights. These thoughts bring me some fond memories of my dad. During sports seasons each of the players and teams must have the courage to win or they would never take their positions as players in the games. We are in the game of life, and we have the courage needed to win at life. We should take our positions on the playing field very seriously or the enemy will take charge and lead us to think we are unworthy and weak. We can take on living through the eyes of the Word of God and win the game every single time. I am not suggesting that all will go as planned each time, but we still win. We have the star player on our team, and He provides plays from the ultimate playbook called the Bible. Following His advice and lead causes us to triumph! It gives us COURAGE to win, and we walk out into the world with confidence in Him that we are winners no matter what.

And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 ESV
