Stirring the Water

Recently, I had a dream of water flowing rapidly down a river that was destroying everything in its’ path. The trees were falling, mountains were crumbling, and people were running to higher ground for safety. Only a few were saved, and many were washed away in the current of the waterfall. Water is powerful, and it can move the unmovable. Our own lives can get caught up in the currents of life as we allow ourselves to become focused on things outside of our purposes for which we have been created. The waters around us becomes stirred and troubled and we find ourselves sinking even further into despair before we realize that the Holy Spirit is desperately trying to speak to us through the storms. We did not hear Him when He spoke calmly to us so sometimes the rivers have to flow rapidly to gain our attention and keep us off the wrong path. The waters are troubled, and we missed the mark of safety. No worries, we have the assurance that His stripes have born our troubles. Take heed for the present and future that the water does not stir again, and we miss it. He has made us complete, so we want to walk boldly in our wholeness!

For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. John 5:4 KJV
