Overcoming Fear, Worry, & Anxiety

I get it! In today’s world we are overwhelmed by the constant exposure to negative talk and feelings from people who are fainting at the weight of their troubles, not to mention we have our own share of troubles. We are not of this world and though we experience troubles we handle them very differently. We are His children, and we walk with the knowledge that our Heavenly Father can and does care and provide for all our needs. We do not operate as the world does, but we hold fast to what the Word of God has to say regarding our lives and the situations in which we find ourselves as we live in a fallen world. It has been said that fear and worry is the opposite of faith in God. I have had this Bible over 25 years and it has seen a lot of fallen tears, but it has also brought me to a lot of peace and joy. The questions are: Do we trust Him to provide for us? Do we trust Him to meet our deepest needs? Do we trust Him to walk with us through the fiery furnaces we face? These are the questions we must ask ourselves as we settle in our hearts and minds that Jesus is Lord and He has paid the ultimate price to help us overcome our fears, worries, and anxieties. We must keep our minds stayed on Him as we trust Him to meet every need and calm every storm.

You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you. Isaiah 26:3 ESV
