Have you ever been asked to complete a task behind the scenes, or you made the choice to complete the task behind the scenes? Many of us have these opportunities daily and yet somehow, we feel like we are either being used, or people see us as inadequate. There have been times when I chose to stay in the background as I really don’t like being noticed. I do not particularly care for the spotlight, but I love to do what helps others shine. There are some people who take advantage of this and make it all about themselves. Right here you are thinking, “I know people like that!” We all do because people are sometimes selfish, and others need attention to thrive because there is a healing that is needed in their life. However, God says so the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen (Matthew 20:16). We are to humble ourselves and He will do the lifting and cause us to shine. Anytime we feel like we need to create opportunities to shine for ourselves then we leave the interpretation that we do not trust God to bless us and place us in a position where there are opportunities to shine. Your opportunity is coming, and it is going to BLOW your mind at what God can do in your life!
