Where does one strength come from when it feels like the world is crashing in on them? So many problems and issues and difficulties we face daily just trying to make it in this world. Sometimes I feel saddened and alone and my cares become heavy. I become concerned about my children, I become concerned about my grandchildren. I pray constantly for my dear family and friends. I feel troubled and heavy hearted when I see all the poverty and hunger around me. I want so much to help everyone in need. I want them all to be okay and to flourish. I want them to be treated with respect and dignity. After all, don’t we all have feelings and experience life changing experiences? Don’t we all have days when we feel lost and in despair? Don’t we all sometimes feel mistreated and abused? If none of this is your story, then you have never been forsaken by man. BUT for those of us who this is our story, our only hope is God. He said to be strong and do not fear. He said He will never leave or forsake us. This is comforting because we do have moments where we are not strong and courageous. We have moments when we rely on Him to go with us he is our only hope of bet being forsaken!
Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 ESV
