We all depend on something or someone. It is impossible not to do so. You may have analyzed your life to determine who your biggest supporters are if you ever needed anyone in your corner. I have several people who I know I can call, and they will come to my rescue. While you may feel that there is no one or maybe there are also several people who will assist you in times of your trials and need, what would you do if none of them were available in your moments of crisis? I can tell you, though I know several who can help, what if they are having their own moments of difficulty? What if they are too busy with their own struggles? Where then will I turn. The throne of God is always open. He never sleeps or is bothered by our coming to Him in distress. In fact, we should consider our Heavenly Father as a first resort. He wants us to rely on Him for all our needs and desires. There will be things that we cannot fix. Where do we turn? There will be mountains we cannot climb. Where will we turn? All these things come so that we remember that our dependence is in Him who raises from the dead. What things are dead in your life and need raising? Depend on HIM!
Indeed, we felt that we had received the sentence of death. But that was to make us rely not on ourselves but on God who raises the dead. II Corinthians 1:9 ESV
